Plot To Break Jail – Peprah Whisked Away

The former Finance Minister in the NDC regime, Kwame Peprah who is serving a jail term at the Ho Prisons for causing financial loss to the state was on Wednesday, suddenly whisked away to the Sekondi Prisons, for security considerations.
A highly placed source told the Daily Guide newspaper that the state was forced to transfer Peprah because some people are planning to let Peprah escape from prison custody, and possibly settle him in exile.
As at Wednesday when the transfer took place, Mr Peprah was being treated for malaria at the Ho Government hospital, and had been hospitalized there to undergo treatment. It is his current situation that has allegedly given rise to the plot by some close friends to help him escape from the hospital premises and for that matter, prison custody and possibly send him into exile.
At the Sekondi Prison, arrangements would be made for him to have further treatment for his malaria condition.
