PLAYBACK: President Akufo-Addo announces third batch of ministerial appointees

A third list of Minister appointees has been announced by President Akufo-Addo.

Prior to this, 25 names were presented; 13 on Tuesday and 12 others on Wednesday

The Presentation of 11 names today makes a total sum of 36 nominees to occupy various state offices under the Akufo-Addo led government if approved by Parliament.

Altogether, President Akufo-Addo has 29 appointed substantive Ministers and 7 appointed State Ministers given specific portfolios and special assignments to implement.

24 of these ministries are already existent and 6 are newly formed ones.

The six new portfolios comprise of; the Ministry for Special Development Initiative, Inner cities and Zongo Ministry, the Business Development Ministry, Planning Ministry, Monitoring and Evaluation Ministry and the Regional Reorganization Ministry.

Below is the final list of Ministerial appointees:

Minister for Planning – Prof. Gyan Baffour (MP for Wenchi)

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts – Catherine Ablema Afeku (MP for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency)

Minister of Information – Mustapha Hamid

Minister for Special Development Initiative – Mavis Hawa Koomson (MP for Awutu Senya East)

Minister of Youth and Sports – Isaac Asiamah (MP for Atwima Mponua constituency)

Minister of Fisheries– Elizabeth Afoley Quaye (MP for Krowor)

Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs – Kofi Dzamesi

Minister of Aviation – Cecelia Dapaah

Minister of Inner cities and Zongo Development- Abubakar Boniface Siddique

Minister of Business Development- Awal Mohammed

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs – Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu (MP for Suame and Majority Leader)
