The growing division among members of Parliament as the Minority side accuse the Speaker of bias was at the forefront of discussions on today’s edition of Newsfile.

Minority’s accusations against the Speaker, suggesting bias and gagging as far as making contributions in Parliament is concerned. Aside threatening to impeach the Speaker, minority members walked out Tuesday August 1, while the house was deliberating on the issues regarding the controversial $ 510 million AMERI power deal.

Focus was also centered on at matters relating to the mid-year budget review presented by Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta on the floor of parliament Monday July 31 and Minority’s take on it.

The approval of the controversial towing levy amidst protests from the public and various institutions as well as the Attorney General’s commencement of processes to retrieve state “cash” from corrupt officials in the country were among dominant issues to feature on this weekend’s edition of Newsfile.
