Pinkrah urges those leaving NDC to exercise patience

Akrokerri (Ash), Feb 27, GNA – Mr Samuel Pinkrah, the chairman of the Fomena constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has appealed to all those who have resigned from the party to exercise patience and reconsider their decision.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Akrokerri in the Adansi North District on Sunday, the chairman said they had been in the party for all those years and that their resignation was unfortunate. He said the party needed unity and togetherness at a time Ghanaians were crying for a saviour since the ruling NPP had woefully failed the nation.

“The atmosphere shows that NPP has failed the nation”, he said, adding, “NPP has no vision for the country”.

Mr Pinkrah said the way prices of petroleum products were being managed was rather worsening the already deplorable conditions Ghanaians found themselves.

On the Representation of People’s Amendment Bill (ROPAB), Mr Pinkrah said the NPP wanted sympathy from Ghanaians abroad since “the local Ghanaians are tired of them as a result of the hardships they are going through”.

He said as at now there were unresolved problems and difficulties associated with voting in the country’s general elections at home and therefore saw no wisdom in diverting attention to voting in foreign lands.

“The difficulties Ghanaians at home go through during elections have not been solved and so why then do we now give our attention to Ghanaians in foreign countries?” The NDC constituency chairman was confident that the ROPAB was a way to offer the opportunity to the NPP to rig the 2008 elections.
