Piaseman Association of USA elects Executive Officers

The Piaseman Association of USA (PASUSA) at the weekend elected a 5-member executive body to steer the affairs of the Association. It was the first elections conducted since the formation of the Association seven months ago.
The executive officers are: George Adusei-Bonsu (Pickerington, OH), President; Nana Ansa-Asare (Buford, GA), Vice President; Edward Oti (Hawaii), Secretary; Grace Adusei (Woodbridge, VA), Financial Secretary; and Richard Agyei Mensah (Irvington, NJ), Welfare Officer. The newly elected officers were sworn into office by Augustine Adu Asare, and immediately assumed their respective roles.
Christopher Wiredu of Orangeburg, SC, and Augustine Adu Asare of Buford, GA, formed the 2-member electoral committee that successfully conducted the elections.
The elders of the Association, namely, MacAnthony Sarfo Dankor, (Bronx, NY), a.k.a. Wofa Yaw Sarfo, Michael Offei, a.k.a. Owusu Agyei (Bronx, NY), and Christopher Wiredu took turns to admonish the new officers and the entire members of the Association.
The elders asked the leadership to work hard and find ways to attract new members into the Association. Wofa Yaw Sarfo stressed the unity that exists among citizens of Piase, Brodekwano and Kuntanase and urged members to always nourish it. Both Owusu Agyei and Christopher Wiredu asked the new executives to be transparent and accountable in the discharge of their duties and encouraged members to support the executive.
The President, George Adusei-Bonsu, a.k.a. Piesie, thanked members for electing him to lead them and pledged his commitment to the growth of the Association.
Piaseman Association of USA is a nonprofit organization formed for the purpose of fostering unity, friendship and support among members, and to support the socio-economic and educational development of Piase in the Bosomtwe District in Ghana.
Membership in PASUSA is open to all citizens of Piase and others who may subscribe to the aims and objectives of the Association.
