On Friday, the book – ‘Key Determinants of National Development: Historical Perspectives and Implications for Developing Economies’ was launched.

The book is a comprehensive compendium that traverses a spectrum of subjects on national development and addresses a suite of critical themes regarded by development experts to be critical to development.

I wish to thank my co-editor, Prof. Kwaku Appiah-Adu; all the contributors, Professor Kenneth Attafuah, head of the William Ofori-Atta Institute of Integrity at Central University and Professor Kwesi Yankah, President of the University as well as colleagues at Central for their support and for making this book possible.

I thank former President John Agyekum Kufuor for honouring us and chairing the event. Our appreciation also goes to Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, Special Guest and Prof. E.H. Amonoo-Neizer, Guest of Honour.
