Photographer remanded for defiling six-year-old girl

Juaso (Ash), Jan 19, GNA – The Juaso Circuit Court has remanded a 20-year-old photographer into prison custody for defiling a six-year-old girl. Kwaku Emmanuel denied the offence and would re-appear on February 2. Police Detective Inspector Adu Ofori told the court presided over by Mr Justice S.K. Sarpong Appiah that the victim lives with her parents together with the accused in the same house at New-Koforidua near Nobewam.

On December 21, last year, the accused took advantage of the absence of the victim’s parents, who had gone to the farm to lure the young girl to a nearby school where he sexually assaulted her. The victim was left bleeding profusely as Kwaku bolted into a nearby bush after the crime. He said the screams of the girl attracted a passer-by who took her to her parents. The victim was taken to the Konongo-Odumase Government Hospital and was kept on admission for four days.
