Phone thief arrested

Sekondi, Jan 10, GNA – The Police on Monday arrested Mawuli Amevor for allegedly stealing a Nokia mobile phone at the Sekondi District Magistrate’s Court.

Amevor snatched the phone from Basulu Mohammed, who is facing a motor/traffic offence, when the court went on recess and took to his heels.

The Police gave Amevor a hot chase when Mohammed raised an alarm and arrested him.

Although the phone was retrieved, Amevor denied the offence and during interrogation it came to light that he has a case before the court for stealing a mobile phone.
