Philanthropist presents schools with computers

Tolon (NR), Nov.10, GNA – Mr. Abdul Razak Abdulai, a citizen from Tolon/Kumbungu district and resident in Scotland has presented computers and accessories worth about 140 million cedis for distribution to Senior Secondary Schools in the district.

He has also pledged to equip Senior and Junior Secondary Schools in the district with computers towards the development of education in the district.

Alhaji Yakubu Abdulai who presented the computers on behalf of his son said the computers were from the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organization (S.C.V.O) a UK-based NGO.

He said his son had also presented some computers and accessories including a printer to the Tamale Secondary School.

Mr. Suhuyini Wumbei, DCE for Tolon/Kumbungu who received the computers on behalf of the Ghana Education Service (GES) appealed to citizens resident outside the region, Ghana and NGOs to emulate the gesture. The computers were for Tolon and Kumbungu Senior Secondary Schools.
