Philanthropist donates to Kumasi Children’s Home

Kumasi, May 13, GNA- Madam Rose Konemann, a Ghanaian philanthropist based in Germany on Thursday donated items worth several millions of cedis to the Kumasi Children’s Home.

The items which included children’s wear, confectionaries, quantities of drinking cups, toiletries, six pressing irons, a bag of rice and toys, was in fulfilment of a promise she made to the Home during her visit to the country last year.

Madam Konemann expressed the need for the citizenry to nip in the bud negative socio-cultural practices that inhibit the development of the potentials of children.

She noted that as children represented the window of hope of the nation, “we must create an enabling environment for their growth irrespective of their predicaments”.

Madam Victoria Asugnya, Supervisor of the Home thanked the philanthropist for her kind gesture.
