Philanthropist donates to Children’s Home

Accra, Dec. 23, GNA – Mr Greg Mathias, a United States of America philanthropist, on Tuesday donated food items to Osu Children’s Home in Accra.

The items, including rice, sugar and cooking oil, were donated under the auspices of AMERIGHANA, a Non-Governmental Organisation. Mr Mathias, who was accompanied by Archbishop Duncan Williams, Leader of the Christian Action Faith Ministry, said it was incumbent on those who had all they needed in life to give some to the needy. He said giving, especially to deprived children, should be considered as a pastime because there was blessing in it. He pledged not to turn his back on the Home anytime his assistance was sought.

Madam Sharon Abeey, Manageress of the Osu Children’s Home, thanked the philanthropist for the gesture.
