Philanthropist donates beds to Nsawam Gov’t Hospital

Madam Gladys Kwaafo, a philanthropist based in Canada and a native of Aburi-Akuapem has donated 24 beds to the Nsawam Government Hospital.

She said the donation was her personal contribution towards health delivery in the area and that she was touched by seeing patients receiving treatment on the bare floor when she visited some hospitals.

Madam Kwaafo gave the assurance that she would organise for more beds to be distributed to these hospitals which are faced with the same problem and called on other public- spirited individuals to support her efforts.

Madam Stella Woana, Director of the Department of Nursing Services at the Hospital, thanked the donor for the gesture and appealed to corporate bodies and personalities to come to the aid of the academic facility.

Dr. Kofi Ablorh, Medical Superintendent in-charge of the Hospital said the donation has brought relieve to the facility.**
