Peter Abomah is MCE for Hohoe

Mr Peter Worlanyo Abomah, 43, Senior Lecturer, Methodist University, was confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Hohoe on Monday.

A total of 43 Assembly members (97.7) percent out of 44 upheld the choice of President John Dramani Mahama for that Office.

Mr Abomah was nominated by President Mahama following the expiration of the tenure of Dr. Margret Kweku, as MCE.

Mr Abomah was sworn into office by Mr Francis Asong Obujo, Hohoe Circuit Court Judge.

Mr Abomah expressed gratitude to both President Mahama for nominating him and the Assembly members for endorsing him.

He promised to perform to expectation, assuring that “leadership of the Assembly will work progressively for required change.”

Mr Abomah said his priority areas are road, water and sanitation, and assured of “monumental development” in the Municipality soon.

Madam Helen Ntoso, Volta Regional Minister advised Mr Abomah to establish a good rapport with traditional authorities for the rapid socio-economic development of the area.

She also reminded the Assembly to invest in the development of zonal and urban councils to give meaning to the local government concept.
