People want me dead because I supported Mahama – Okala

Popular Ghanaian comedian ‘Bishop Bob Okala’ says there are plans to assassinate him after he publicly endorsed President Mahama’s re-election bid.

According to him, his assailants are members of the main opposition NPP at Teshie in Accra.

Bob Okala added that his attackers usually come to his house at midnight to pelt him with stones.

Speaking to XYZ News in an interview, Bob Okala said although he has reported the matter to the Teshie Police he still feels insecure.

“This is not the first time I have been attacked; I was attacked and severely beaten in Kumasi some years back and it took the intervention of President Rawlings to bring me back to Accra.

“I am not the only celebrity who endorsed President Mahama, some did it for Nana Akufo Addo so why is it that they have not been attacked” Bob Okala said.
