People of Nsuta defecate in classrooms

Nsuta (B/A), Dec 1, GNA- Teachers at the Roman Catholic Primary School at Nsuta in the Techiman District have expressed concern about the practice by some people to defecate in school’s classrooms.

Mr. Peter Obeng, one of the teachers, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that “the whole community is to blame for this horrible behaviour”.

He said the situation has affected teaching and learning, as both teachers and the pupils have had to spend greater part of the morning to prepare the classrooms for lessons.

Mr Obeng said it is disgraceful for the classrooms to be turned into places of convenience at a time the community wants the district assembly and the government to rehabilitate the dilapidated school building.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Allen Bour, called on residents to report anybody found defecating in the classrooms to the unit committee for arrest and prosecution.
