People of Hamile want government to rehabilitate road

Wa, Nov. 5, GNA – The people of Hamile and its

surrounding villages have appealed to the government to

rehabilitate the Nandom/Hamile road. The appeal which was made in a statement signed by Mr.

Andrews Yirdong, former Assembly Member for Hamile-

Muoteng Electoral Area, complained about the deplorable

condition of the road especially the Bu River that cuts across the

road. The statement said the nature of the river had made it

impossible for articulator trucks and other vehicles from Ghana

and Burkina Faso to ply the road. It said the Wa/Hamile and the Sunyani Metro Mass Transit

buses had stopped coming to Hamile due to the bad nature of

the road. The statement noted that Hamile being a major entry point

between Ghana and Burkina Faso had been completely cut off

and appealed to government to act fast.
