Pentecost Church sponsors medical screening Adaklu-Kodzobi residents

Adaklu Kodzobi (V/R), Dec. 1, GNA – More than 500 people, including children at Adaklu Kodzobi in the Adaklu Anyigbe District have been scree= ned and treated for various ailments free of charge by a medical outreach tea= m of the Church of Pentecost.

The 10-member team, including student nurses from the Ho Nurses Training=

College, from the Ho Area of the Church, was led by Mrs Patricia Nunoo, Acting Adaklu Anyigbe District Director of Health Services. She told the GNA that the commonest ailments treated were malaria, hypertension and worm infestation. The Reverend Benjamin Kufordjie, Adaklu Agblefe Area Head of the church,=

said the church had an obligation to promote both the physical and the spiritual wellbeing of people. He advised the people to always clean their environments and also eat balanced diets. Rev. Kufordjie also advised the youth to desist from lifestyles that cou= ld harm their physical and spiritual growth. He said the Counselling and Spiritual units of the Church works jointly with the medical outreach team to handle those whose conditions needed spiritual attention and counselling.

Rev. Kufordjie said the medical team had also visited Kissiflui, Kpedze,=

Dzolokpuita, Hodzo and Atikpui, all in the Ho Municipal Area, and had administered drugs valued more than GH¢10,000 to those treated in the communities. He praised the Alpha Medical Centre, Tobinco and Mount Zion Pharmacies a= nd the Kama Health Services for making drugs available to the church for its=

outreach activities.
