PBC donates cash for school development

Suhum (E/R), Aug. 17, GNA- The Produce Buying Company (PBC) limited has donated two million cedis to the Methodist Primary School for provision of a place of convenience for the school.

The presentation was made by the Marketing Clerk of the Company at Dokrochiwa, Mr Ernest Adu Larbi, and was received by Mr Daniel Sakyi Damuiah, Chairman of the Parent-Teachers Association (PTA).

Addressing the ceremony, Rev. Albert Appiah of the local Methodist Church reminded parents of their responsibility to ensure good future for their children.

He noted that some parents could care for their children but refuse to spend on their children’s education.

Rev. Appiah noted that such irresponsible behaviour compelled the NGOs to reduce their involvement in community projects, saying “this gives bad impression about the community and the country to the donors”. On December general elections, Rev. Appiah called on Ghanaians not to sell their conscience for money, adding that their vote was their power, which could decide their future.
