Accra, August 1, GNA – Professor Atukwei Okai, Secretary-General, Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) is leading a six-member delegation of Ghanaian writers to participate in an Afro-Arab cultural relations in Libya.
The international symposium, which begun on July 31 in Sirte, is on the theme: “The Future of Arab-African Culture Relations and African Writers in the Diaspora.”
A statement in Accra signed by Prof. Atukwei Okai, said writers from all parts of Africa are attending the conference. The Ghanaian delegation included Nana Kyekyeku III, a Poet; Ajoa Yeboah Afari, Short Story Writer, Dramatist and the President of Ghana Journalist Association; Alex Agyei-Agyiri, a Poet, Novelist and Lawyer; Manu Herbstein, Novelist and Engineer; J. E. Allotey-Pappoe, Poet, Public Relations Practitioner and President of the Federation of African Public Relation Associations and Margaret Safo, Novelist and Editor of “The Mirror”, newspaper.
