Pathologist wins Afram Plain South Parliamentary Primary

Ekye- Amanfrom (E/R), 23 Jan. GNA – Mr Joseph Appiah Boateng, a 36-year-old pathologist, defeated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Afram Plain South, Mr Raphael Kofi Ahaligah, and four other contestants to become the parliament candidate for the constituency at the party’s primary held at Ekye-Amanfrom.

He polled 2011 votes as against 80 votes by the MP, while the other contestants, Mr Mark Oliver Kivor, the Abetifi constituency NDC Youth Organizer had 24 votes, Mr Alhassan Sumaila, 24 votes, Mr Eric Fordjour, two votes and Mr Michael Twum had one vote .
