Pastors urged to preach against indiscipline

Donkro-Nkwanta (B/A), Aug. 26, GNA- Assembly Members of Nkoranza District Assembly have called on religious leaders to use the pulpit to assist in the campaign against indiscipline in the society.

Mr Collins Ofosu, Assembly Member for Donkro-Nkwanta made the appeal on behalf of his colleagues when he addressed members of the Nkoranza South District of the Seven Day Adventist Church at the close of its annual camp meeting.

Mr Ofosu expressed concern about the attitude of some youth to engage in lawlessness and to show disrespect for community leaders and elders.

“It is rather unfortunate that some of the youth have refused to attend to communal labour and even those who did adopted the lackadaisical attitude to the work”, he said.

He called on churches to educate their members to extend “the services they render in the church to their communities, since service to God is service to mankind”..

Mr Ofosu commended the District Chief Executive, Mr Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, for encouraging the District Assembly to initiate more development projects in the communities.
