Pastor Mensa Otabil on ‘The wise man and the foolish man’

The Good Book (Bible) says the one who hears the word of God and obeys it, is like a wise man that builds his house on a solid rock. That house can withstand any storm.

Thus, Founder of the International Central Gospel Church, Pastor Mensa Otabil, in one of his sermons gave an insightful teaching on the differences between the wise man and a fool.

Explaining the extreme characteristics of the human behaviours, the theologian disclosed that, “people who are prudent take time to examine a situation before them, before they act. But the short-sighted person jumps at it.”

Dr Otabil took his anchor verse from Matthew 7:24-27 to emphasize the basic foundation we build is what determines who is a wise or foolish person.

“It is not about the fact that the wise man will face a different trouble. Both the wise and foolish may face the same adversity, but what is going to determine who can be resilient among the two, is the foundation.”
