Pastor involved in smuggling not from Church of Pentecost

Ho, Sept 29, GNA – Rev Jacob Narh Affum, the Ho Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, said on Thursday that the Pastor Boachie who was alleged to have been involved in an attempt to smuggle wax prints to Accra is not a pastor of the Church of Pentecost. He told the Ghana News Agency on Thursday that no pastor or elder of the church bears that name.

When contacted Mr Kwesi Fredua-Agyeman Boakye, Assistant Commissioner of CEPS in charge of the Ho Collection, said the driver of the tipper truck, George Kofi, had told CEPS investigators that the owner of the wax prints was one Osofo Buachie of one of the Pentecostal churches and not the Pentecost Church. The wax prints were concealed under a heap of sand and being transported to Accra when the tipper truck was intercepted at the Abutia checkpoint on Wednesday.
