Pastor chooses main entrance of Kwahu as preaching ground

For James Attah, leader of God Seeking Generation, people becoming aware of the reason for the celebration of Easter is of essence and that explains his reason for mounting a stage to preach at the main entrance of Kwahu.

The Kwahu Easter is an annual Easter celebration that takes place at Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana. It has become one of the biggest festivals in Ghana, which draws people from far and near.

For the indigenes, it is an annual homecoming, but for revelers it is an occasion for celebrations. Paragliding, hiking, carnivals and street jams are some of the activities which characterize the celebration.

But James who spoke to Ghanaweb said people must know the reason behind the celebration.

“We want this to be the first thing the person sees before he enters the town so you know Christ is the reason for Easter,” he said.

Despite being at a very vantage area, the number of people at the premises comes nowhere close to those who have gathered 200 meters away to party.

“That is what we want”, he said when asked how he feels about the situation. “We want to reach those who are passing by. We want it this way…” he added.
