Pastor asks the media to shun negative reportage

The out-going Central Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army Church, Major Edmund Abia, has exhorted the media to shun the negative utterances of politicians.

He said the use of abusive language by politicians could lead to violence hence the need for them to mind their words when they mount political platforms.

Major Abia was addressing a send-off service in his honour at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

He advised politicians not to create tension and acrimony in the country in their quest for power.

Major Abia asked Ghanaians to preach peace and not to beat the war drums, adding: “No nation can thrive without peace,” he said.**
