Past govts must explain payments of judgement debts – Segbefia

Deputy Chief of Staff, Alex Segbefia, is calling for strict proof of all governments as far as judgements debts are concerned.

Alex Segbefia says present and past governments must avail themselves for scrutiny in order to discover what caused the plethora of judgement debts paid or yet-to-be-paid.

Speaking on Radio XYZ 93.1FM’s current affairs programme, The Analysts, on Saturday, Mr. Segbefia said it will help the nation avoid future judgements debts.

According to Mr. Segbefia, both the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) must be blamed for the judgement debts, which runs into several hundreds of millions cedis.

Mr. Segbefia however noted that respecting the judgements by competent courts for the payment of judgements makes Ghana a good creditor.
