Parliamentary candidate dies after giving birth to twins

MHC would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Mrs. Anastasia Wiredu-Mensah, NPP’s candidate for Prestea, who died yesterday at Sunyani Government Hospital after giving birth to twins.

The two babies are in stable condition and are under observation. Ghanaians from all walks of life are expressing great sadness over the loss of Mrs. Wiredu-Mensah. The circumstances under which she died are sketchy at the moment but her death has sent shockwaves across the country. A prefect tribute to Mrs. Wiredu-Mensah would be to ensure that maternal mortality becomes a thing of the past in Ghana.

May Mrs. Anastasia Wiredu-Mensah rest in perfect peace.
