Parliament to sit on Monday

Accra, Nov. 30, GNA – Parliament will sit on Monday, December 4, 2006 to enable the Governor of the Bank of Ghana to address the House on the proposed re-denomination of the Cedi.

A statement issued by the Public Affairs Department of Parliament said the Speaker has directed that in accordance with the Standing Orders of the House, all rules will be observed and urged members to attend.

The statement said the various Committees of the House will also commence consideration of the 2007 Annual Budget of the various MDAs on the same day.

The Businesses Committee of the House urged MPs to attend and reminded them to comply with the dates assigned for presentation of their respective reports for consideration by the House.
