Parents advised to stop employing school children for labour

Krobo (B/A), Aug. 20, GNA- Nana Kofi Adum II, Anikokoasehene and Benkumhene of Krobo in the Techiman Traditional area has advised parents to avoid engaging their children in economic activities at the expense of their education.

Nana Adum was addressing a durbar to mark the celebration of the annual Yam Festival of the Anikokoase and Benkum family at Krobo in Brong Ahafo.

The chief urged the people to take interest in the adult education programme provided by the non-formal division for improvement in their standard of living.

He advised the youth to avoid casual sex in order not to contract HIV/AIDS.

Nana Abena Takyiwaa, the Queenmother, advised young girls to desist from pre-marital sex and concentrate on their education.
