Pantang workers demonstrate over land encroachment

Pantang Hospital workers on Wednesday took to the streets to demonstrate over encroachment of hospital lands by residents.

The workers last week embarked on a sit-down strike in objection to the government’s failure to prevent individuals from encroaching on the hospital’s land.

The workers turned away new patients who visited the hospital and attended to only children, the aged and patients at the maternity ward.

They have therefore vowed to continue protesting until government ejects all encroachers.
