Staff of Pantang Hospital have agreed to resume work on Thursday after a meeting with the Minister of Health after their demonstration on Wednesday.

A senior staff member of the Hospital, Elvis Akuamoah described the meeting with the Minister as satisfying adding that they are encouraged the Minister considers their grievances as an important issue.

He said the minister had assured them of working together with some other ministries to acquire the land for the hospital.

He further stated the staff of the hospital will return to work tomorrow adding that they will give the Minister a reasonable time to resolve the issue before taking their next action.

The workers began a sit-down strike on Monday to register their anger at the increasing numbers of private structures that are being constructed in front of the hospital.

They had threatened not to report to work from Thursday until further notice if government did not intervene.
