Panel to select logo for Golden Jubilee

Accra, May 31, GNA – A seven-member panel of judges has been formed to prepare a short-list of potential winners of the public competition to select a national logo for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of independence.

Mr D. A. Kwapong, Acting Director of Information Services Department, would chair the panel of judges, a statement issued in Accra on Wednesday said.

The statement said the winners of the competition, which attracted more than 200 entries from both local and foreign participants, would be selected by the National Planning Committee.

It said the designer of the winning logo would receive a cash prize of 10 million cedis. The runner-up would receive five million cedis while the third prize would be four million cedis. There would be consolation prizes of two million cedis each for the fourth, fifth and sixth positions.
