PANAFEST comes off in July

The fifth edition of the Pan-African Historical Theatre Festival (PANAFEST) will be held from Friday, July 27, to Friday, August 3, this year.

The festival, which was first celebrated in 1992, will take place at the traditional locations of Cape Coast, Elmina and Accra under the themes “The Re-emergence of African Civilisation, re-uniting the African Family and Bridging the Gap through Information Technology”.

According to the acting Executive Secretary of the PANAFEST Foundation, Rabbi Haveli Nathanyah Kohain, the programme of activities for the celebrations will formally be launched at the Elmina Beach Resort on Friday, February 9.

PANAFEST brings together Africans and peoples of African descent to solidify their socio-cultural linkages.
