Palace for Ashaiman Divisional Council in the offing

Construction works on a modern palace for the Ashaiman Divisional Council, will begin at Ashaiman Municipality in the Greater Accra region.

The three-storey building estimated at GH¢650,000 would comprise the chief’s residence, an office, guest rooms, halls, archives, a car park and a library.

Speaking at the sod-cutting, Nii Adjei Kraku, Tema Mantse advised residents in the municipality to contribute meaningfully towards the successful completion of the project.

Mr Alfred Kwame Agbesi, Member of Parliament for Ashaiman and Deputy Majority Leader expressed happiness that his dream of Ashaiman having a palace has been realised.

Numo Addinorty Addison, Municipal Chief Executive pledged the Assembly’s support for the project.

Nii Annang Adzor, Regent of Ashaiman who cut the sod appealed to the 48 ethnic heads within the municipality to rally solidly behind the Divisional Council to enable it realised its aims and objectives.
