Tema, Feb. 14, GNA – A 27-year old painter has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment with hard labour for having sex with an imbecile by the Ashaiman Circuit Court.
Agbeka Shine, the convict, who is a native of Kpando in the Volta Region, is a resident of Tema Community “11”.
Chief Inspector Olivia Turkson, Police Public Relations Officer of the Tema Regional Police Command revealed this to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday.
Chief Inspector Turkson said Shine was arrested on January 31, this year by the Community “11” office of the Domestic Violence Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service.
She stated that he was arrested based on information reaching the Unit that he has lured a 33-year old imbecile into having sex with him.
Agbeka pleaded guilty to the charge of having canal knowledge of an imbecile and was accordingly sentenced.
