PAC to recall Mould, Woyome on judgment debt saga

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament is likely to re-invite former Attorney General Betty Mould Iddrisu for further questioning.

Similarly, businessman Alfred Woyome could also be hauled before the Committee for some clarifications on the 51 million cedi judgment debt paid him during Mould Iddrisu’s term in office.

Members of the committee say there are many questions that require clarification on the auditor general’s report on a few judgment debt payments made during Betty Mould Iddrissu’s term of office as Minister of Justice and Attorney General.

Ranking member of the Committee and MP for Salaga South, Abubakari Ibrahim Dey, in an interview with XYZ News said the former Attorney General and Mr. Woyome would have to re-appear before the current Committee since there are outstanding issues that need further probing.

“We are on the CP case now which involves Betty Mould Iddrisu…the new PAC would have to look at the matter and say we have adopted the report of the last parliament and then we can now write a report and bring it to parliament or if there are certain issues we don’t understand we have to recall some of them,” Hon. Dey said.
