Owusu-Yeboa urges primaries for remaining V/R slots

Ho, Nov. 24, GNA – Mr Kwasi Owusu-Yeboa, Volta Regional Minister has called on the National Executive of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to conduct primaries in the remaining constituencies of the region in accordance with the constitution of the Party.

Mr Owusu-Yeboa, who was interacting with reporters in his office at the weekend, said he had noticed that there were people who are opposed to NPP winning the 2004 elections in the region.

He said he was aware of machinations and manipulations by some Party officials in the conduct of primaries to ensure their preferred candidates to win.

Mr Owusu-Yeboa, however, commended the National Executive for its efforts to ensure that sanity prevailed in the conduct of the primaries in the Volta Region.

Mr Owuwu-Yeboa is contesting the postponed Biakoye constituency primaries with Mr Edward Collins Boateng, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Council.
