Owusu Bempah’s followers jubilate after his release

It was all joy for hundreds of supporters of the founder and leader of Hope Ministries International, Rev. Owusu Bempah following his release from the CID headquarters Wednesday October 26, 2016.

Rev. Owusu Bempah was questioned Wednesday afternoon over comments he made suggesting some persons were planning on assassinating flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo.

The controversial man of God said in a radio interview that there plans had been hatched by a group of persons to kill the NPP flagbearer at a campaign rally in the Volta Region of Ghana, stronghold of the governing National Democratic Congress. He however failed to mention who was involved in the said plot.

He was subsequently invited for questioning by the Criminal Investigations Department to assist with investigations into the said allegation.
