Owusu-Ansah wins Bosomtwe Rural Bank raffle

Kumasi, Dec 29, GNA- Mr James Owusu-Ansah who has his accounts at the Atonsu-Agogo Agency of the Bosomtwe Rural Bank on Tuesday won the bank’s “Save and Win Raffle” held in Kumasi. For his prize, he collected a 20-inch colour television and a Sanyo DVD player.

Madam Dora Appiah-Kubi who has her accounts at the Kuntanase Head Office of the bank won the second and third prize and received a Samsung tabletop fridge and a 20-inch Sanyo colour television. The fourth prize of a Mikachi VCD/tape player was won by Kwadwo Adjei of the Atonsu Agency. There were other consolation prizes. Speaking at the function, Mr Simon Osei Mensah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament-elect for Bosomtwe and Board Chairman of the bank, said gone were the days when people looked down on rural banks and refused to do business with them.

Now, he said the Bosomtwe rural bank is now compared with any of the viable commercial banks in the country.

Mr Mensah said the bank was 47th among the best companies in the country and was among 13 rural banks that were selected to join the Ghana Club 100 for 2003.

He therefore called on people to patronise the bank so that they could benefit from its numerous packages.

Mr James E.K. Mainu, Manager in-charge of Administration and Human Resource, gave a brief account of the bank’s profile and product, and said since its inception 23 years ago, the Bosomtwe Rural Bank had established itself as one of the most viable rural banks in the country. He said the raffle was to give its numerous customers the opportunity to enjoy some of the profits of the bank.
