Overcome the perils of life through spiritual freedom – Dr Dufu

Accra, July 29, GNA – Dr Sam Dufu, Leader of Eckankar in Ghana, on Wednesday night said the surest way for individuals to overcome the perils of life was to work towards the enhancement of their spiritual freedom.

“Those who have spiritual freedom are high on the survival scale, they can handle everything that is thrown at them and have the spiritual understanding to convert their setbacks to their spiritual advantage.”

Dr Dufu said this at a press soiree organised by Eckankar to announce its Africa Seminar to be held in Ghana from August 13 to August 25.

The Seminar, which would be attended by 7,000 delegates from Africa, USA and Europe, is on the theme: “Keys to Spiritual Freedom”.

Dr Dufu stated that there were certain “fundamental keys” to be appropriated by the individuals before acquiring spiritual freedom.

“We need to have a complete change in consciousness to learn through experiences of life, the joy of giving and receiving unconditional love and helping God to administer His vast creation.”

Topics to be addressed at the seminar are: “Am I Worthy of Spiritual Freedom?” “Staying in Balance in Challenging Times;” “Mining for Gold in Your Dreams” and “Spiritual Exercises – the Key to Spiritual Freedom”.

The Eckankar African Seminar would be a forum where members would give testimony about the power of the Holy Spirit and how it works in their lives.

Eckanker is a religion that teaches about the spiritual exercise that one must do to experience the Light and Sound of God by singing the word HU to move individuals to a greater state of consciousness for the realisation of the Holy Spirit in one’s life. It believes in Kama, the spiritual law of cause and effect, that is, one reaps what one sows, and the concept of reincarnation.
