Suhum, Jan. 9, GNA – The Centre for Betterment Collaboration (CBC), a Non-Governmental Organisation (GNA) is to train over 1,000 youth at Suhum in the Eastern Region to acquire skills needed on the job market. Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Suhum on Monday, Mr. Fredric Opare Ansah, Deputy Minister of Communications said that, efforts were being made to mobilise the youth to acquire training at the vocational centre to be established and sponsored by the NGO.

Mr. Opare Ansah, who is also a Member of Parliament for Suhum constituency said the training would help prevent the youth from travelling to the cities to in search for non-existent jobs which would rather made them to indulge in anti-social vices such as armed robbers. The country needed able-bodied youth and to become useful citizens in the future, he stated.
