Outgoing DCE pledges support for new DCE

Offinso (Ash), Aug. 20, GNA – Mr Joseph Yaw Oduro, the out-going Offinso District Chief Executive, has pledged to give his support to Mr Collins E. Ntim, the newly elected DCE to facilitate the development of the district.

He said there was the need for “the old hands to always strive to confer with the new ones in all developmental issues as democracy thrived on stability.”

Mr Oduro made the pledge at his official handing-over to Mr Ntim at a ceremony at Offinso on Friday.

He urged the assembly members to close their ranks and not hesitate to bring their experiences to bear on activities of the assembly. Mr Oduro said, “Even though you might have your differences, you must place the overall interest of the assembly and the district above all other considerations.”

He reminded the assembly members to be conscious of their duties and be guided by unity of purpose to improve on the assembly concept. Mr. Ntim on his part, commended the assembly members for the confidence reposed in him, stressing that he would be dedicated to co-operating with stakeholders in the district in all facets of development.

He also commended the outgoing DCE for his sense of objectivity and promised to continue with all the development projects he had started.
