Our manifesto will be workable and realistic

President John Dramani Mahama has promised electorates that the National Democratic Congress’ manifesto for election 2012 will be workable and realistic.

According to him, the NDC’s yet-to-be out-doored manifesto will be informed by the needs of Ghanaians.

“We have already started our campaign and very soon, we will outdoor our manifesto. Some political parties have already started telling Ghanaians what they will do. But for us in the NDC, we are circumspect in what we say to the electorate and so very soon, we will outdoor ours,” he said.

The president was speaking to market women in Accra and promised government’s support to address their numerous challenges.

He called further called on the electorates to main the NDC in power to complete the ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ started by the late President Mills.

President Mahama, who has been endorsed to lead the NDC into the December elections reiterated that, the party has performed creditably in the last three-and-a-half years in government…“so when it is time for the elections, you should remember the NDC.”

Meanwhile, President Mahama is in the Northern Region to visit places devastated by recent floods which left thousands displaced.
