Adukrom (E/R), Jan.13, GNA- A family spokes person for the Otu Family of Adukrom , Major (rtd ) Kwabena Adu Otu has confirmed that the mortal remain of Air Marshal Otu was in the wreckage of the military helicopter that crashed at Adukrom Akuapem this afternoon.
He however, assured media men on the scene that the funeral would proceed as planned.
He said the military pathologist on the scene, would retrieve the ashes and prepare it in a casket for the funeral, tomorrow.
According to Major Rtd. Otu, although the incident was unfortunate, the family and the military command had agreed that the funeral should proceed as scheduled. to panic over the incident and that everything would go on as planned.
The thick crowd that gathered at the scene earlier, had began dispersing, whiles the military was also seen picking pieces of metal and other debris left behind.
The military said it would issue a statement later, on the incident.
