Otumfuo, others honoured

The Asante-Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, as part of its 90th anniversary ceremony, has organised a special service to honour Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, and some of his elders of the church for distinguish service and contribution to the growth of the church.

They included Professor Kwasi Kwafo Adarkwa, a former Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the Right Reverend Dr Yaw Frimpong Manso, past moderator of the church, Opanin Kwadwo Kyere, a renowned marriage counselor, and Nana Kwaku Amoateng, Jachiehene.

They were each presented with a citation.

Rev Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, Chairperson of the Presbytery, called on Christians to provide leadership to transform the lives of the people which entail upholding the values of honesty, hard work, integrity, humility and service to humanity.

He said the expectation was that they would become good examples to the rest of society and refuse to be corrupted.
