Accra, Dec 14, GNA – Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene arrives from London on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 5.30 pm by Ghana International Airlines.
Otumfuo is returning home after accepting his sixth Honorary Doctorate Degree from the Metropolitan University of London for his meritorious contribution to education, health, and cultural development in Ghana since his ascension to the Golden Stool in 1999. A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Kojo Yankah, Public Relations Officer to Otumfuo said on Sunday, December 17, the Otumfuo would attend a Thanksgiving Service at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Accra, which coincided with the 30th anniversary of Bishop Akrofi’s ordination.
Otumfuo would be accompanied by La Mantse and Tema Mantse. The statement invited all to participate in the two events.
