Otuasekan Rural Bank donate to College

Mampong (Ash), March 2, GNA – The Otuasekan Rural Bank at the weekend donated sports items worth 10 million cedis to the Mampong Technical Teachers College (MTTC) at Asante-Mampong. The items included two sets of jerseys with the bank’s logo embossed on them, a set of track – suits and five footballs. The college also received donations from the Sekyere West District Assembly, Kwamanman Rural Bank and the Sekyere West District Health Services.

The District Assembly donated a 3.5 million cedis cheque while the Kwamanman Rural Bank presented 100,000 cedis cash with the Sekyere West Health Services donating drugs and other health materials to the college.

The donations were in response to the college’s request for assistance to enable it prepare effectively towards this year’s Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo Region’s Teacher Training Colleges games which commenced at Bechem on Saturday, February 29 and will end on March 7.

Mr Kyei Baffour Awuah, chairman of the Board of Directors of Otuasekan Rural Bank, who made the donation on behalf of the bank, underscored the importance the bank attached to all levels of academic disciplines.

Mr Leonard Yao Amuzu, Principal of the College in receiving the items, thanked the donors for their generosity and said moral among the athletes and players was very high and hoped the college will capture the trophies at stake.
