Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs says he is pleased with the approval of the Gender Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba.
Commenting on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Allotey Jacobs commended the efforts of Hon. Otiko Djaba to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, Otiko Djaba was one of the talwarts of the NPP who played a vital role in the victory of the party as Women’s Organizer; so she deserves her appointment
Allotey Jacobs however expressed worry over the character of Hon. Otiko Djaba, saying she has a problem and so urged her to work on her attitude.
To him, if she transports her character to the Ministry, it may not augur well for the current administration.
“Otiko Djaba might have a problem. That is about her character . . . But as National Women Organizer, she has suffered. Parties should recognize what their leaders have done for them. So, for me, I believe she’s suffered. I mean she’s qualified. The only problem I have with her is her gladiator cut (regarding her hair style prior to last year’s elections,” Allotey Jacobs said.
