Otabil is a first class liar-Fiifi Kwetey

Aspiring Member of Parliament for Ketu South and Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Fiifi Kwetey, has stated emphatically that the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil, is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which he said, is made up of “first class liars”.

Pastor Mensa Otabil, came under series of attacks after he had appealed to President John Mahama, to call to order, NDC members who are piecing together comments he had made in the past, to create the impression that he is against the proposed free senior high school policy being espoused by Nana Akufo-Addo.

He described the act as “criminal”, “unethical”, “malicious”, “Machiavellian” and above all a violation of his integrity.

But in a reaction to Pastor Mensa Otabil’s claim that the NDC had adopted “Machiavellian” tactics to malign him, Mr. Kwetey noted that he believes the head pastor was making reference to the NPP’s style of doing politics.

“…Yet these are the people who at the least opportunity, point fingers to the other people claiming that they are liars. But they are what we call the first class liars in this country. Possibly when Pastor Mensa Otabil organized the press conference few days ago, the word “Machiavellian” that he used…maybe he was virtually making an allusion that the only party that has adopted Machiavellian style of politics from Kwame Nkrumah’s day till date, is the NPP…the party that obviously Pastor Mensa Otabil subscribes to and supports. So possibly, Pastor Otabil has to revise his note and direct those description to his party”, he said.

In an interview on Radio Gold’s “Gold Paper Review”, Mr. Kwetey urged Pastor Otabil to rather counsel NPP members to stop peddling lies and inscribing them on their billboards.
