Osu Children’s Home receives donation

Accra, July 5, GNA – The Salvation Church of God Mission presented 10 bags of rice worth 13.5 million cedis to the Osu Children Home in Accra on Republic Day.

The Rev Andrew Akinsuyi, General Overseer of the Canadian-based Church, made the presentation and said the Church was moved to go to the aid of the needy wherever they were.

He said the Church had, therefore, decided to make donations to needy children in some selected African countries including Ghana and expressed the hope that the donation would help the children in the home.

Mrs Felicia Opoku Acheampong, the Mother of the Home, received the rice and thanked the Church for the gesture. Mrs Opoku Acheampong appealed to other organisations to come to the aid of the Home saying whatever small gift would be appreciated.
